NEET Result 2020: The Union Cabinet Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has confirmed that National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET 2020 result on October 16, 2020. The authority will conduct the NEET (UG) Second Part on October 14 for candidates who could not appear for the exam in September. After that, the NEET Result will be declared. How To Calculate NEET 2020 Score & Rank?

Candidates can calculate their NEET score by comparing the NEET Answer Key with their responses. NEET 2020 provisional answer key was released on September 26 and the last date to challenge the keys was October 7, 2020. To calculate your exam score, let’s have a look at the NEET 2020 marking scheme below:

– Every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded.
– For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from the total score.
– No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
– Physics and Chemistry carry 180 marks each, whereas the Biology section is for 360 marks.
– Total Marks = 180 MCQs X 4 = 720 Marks

What Is NEET Percentile Score?

NEET Percentile Score is used to prepare the NEET Rank List. The NEET Percentile is the candidate’s performance in comparison to other students. NEET Result: Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in NEET 2020, the following procedure will be adopted to resolve the tie between them:

  1. Biology Score: Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology),
  2. Chemistry Score: Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry,
  3. Number of Incorrect Answers: Candidate with less number of attempted incorrect answers in all the subjects
  4. Age Criteria: If the tie is still not resolved, candidate older in age will be given preference.

What’s After NEET Result 2020?

After the announcement of NEET result, NEET counselling will be commencing for All India Quota and State Quota seats. After the declaration of results, candidates will have to register for the counselling process. Candidates participating in the State Quota NEET Counselling process will have to register themselves with the state counselling authority. Post the counselling registration, the officials will release the NEET Rank List/Merit List.
